When I had worked out with a personal trainer, my trainer recommended me eating more protein. She told me when I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner, I had to eat more than 15g of protein every time. So I ate foods that included protein, for example, meats eggs, yogurt ...etc. During that time, I ate lots of chicken and I didn't want to eat anymore. Before the end of the personal training, I almost gave up eating protein regularly.
Because of this eating habits, I could gain my muscle. I think it is good to gain muscle. However, if I ate protein with lots of fat or carbohydrates, I could gain weight from fat. It is the worst case I think. So, if you eat like this, you have to adjust your fat and carbohydrates on your plate.
