Chapter 1, Accident

Dec 23, 1876

I planted a carnivorous mushroom in my garden. I fed it to guests who eat too much. In my research, carnivorous mushrooms are good for reducing appetite. Based on my research, I gave it to my guests, but they all died. I didn't have any intention to kill them. I just wanted to reduce their appetite.

 

Dec 24, 1876

I just put them in my garden with mushrooms. What could I do? My brain was dead. I couldn't think more. Ah.. How about burying them under my garden? I thought I had no choice in disposing of them. Ok, I didn't have any choice. I would do that.

I had started my business in 1873. I had been managing a lodge since that time. It was really fun and I loved my job. Moreover, I loved mushrooms and researched a lot about mushrooms. My lodging concept was a mushroom and I decorated with mushroom props. Customers really loved this concept and my life was very great until that accident happended.

Chaper 2, Missing

Dec 20, 1886

I have searched for two of the missing people every day but I couldn't find any clues about the missing people for 7 years. Where could I find them? Why were they missing? How about the probability of murder?

 

Dec 21, 1886

I found an old lodge. Now, I thought nobody managed the lodge. Before closing, the garden had been used as a mushroom field. Lots of mushrooms were growing in the garden and I found something curious. The ground's color was strangely different. I thought I had to report this to my supervisor.

 

Dec 22, 1886

I and my colleagues went to the lodge again and we dug up the garden. Finally, we found two skeletons and I thought it was related to this lodge. I had to search for this lodge.

 

Dec 24, 1886

Yesterday, I forgot to write in my diary because I read lots of data. The owner of the lodge was born in 1823. The owner's major was biology and this person specialized in mushrooms. Also, we found who the victims were. They extremely obese and their relatives said they ate a lot. I thought that they were related to each other.
