Korean foods had been white. After the war in 1652, our ancestors got red chili pepper, and it was the start of enjoying spicy food. Of course, Koreans still love white foods which do not use chili peppers. Moreover, a variety of Korean foods are fermented because of the weather. If you are sensitive, you might feel uncomfortable. 

 

Side dishes

: Koreans normally enjoy their foods with side dishes. Side dishes are usually seasoned vegetables, Kimchi, fermented or pickled vegetables, and so on. 

 

Rice

: Rice is a main grain because it is though to grow wheat in Korea. Rice is always with you. 

 

Soju/Makgeolli

: These are Korean traditional drinks. Soju is clear and sweet. It seems like water, but it is really strong. Makgeolli is a fermented drink. It is white like milk, and sweet. 

 

Table manners

: Wehn you go to a restaurant, the youngest person sets the table, for example..
