The writer and the lecturer talked about the fact that dinosaurs were endotherms. The writer mentioned dinosaurs were endotherms and the lecturer argued the opposite.

First, the writer said archaeologists have discovered some dinosaur fossils in polar regions. In these regions, only endotherms could survive in these climates. However, the lecturer argued the polar reigons, only endotherms could survive in these climates. However, lecturer argued the polar regions were wrmer than today and some dinosaurs could migrate to other regions.

Second, the writer mentioned leg position and movement of dinosaurs. If dinosaurs' legs were positioned beside their bodies, they couldn't run efficiently. Yet, their legs are positioned underneath their bodies. Thelecturer asserted that dinosaurs were huge and they had high energy. For this reason, dinosaurs' legs need to be positioned beneath their bodies and this fact is not related to running.

Lastly, the writer said that dinosaurs have Haversian canals, which endotherms usually have. Haversian canals make creatures, especially endotherms, grow rapidly. Hence, the writer siad dinosaurs could be endotherms. On the other hand, the lecturer contradicted the writer's opinion. Though dinosaurs have Haversian canals, but it is not a reason supporting endothermy. Dinosaurs grew rapidly dinosaurs are not endotherms but dinosaurs had Haversian canals.
