[TOEFL/Writing] Question2 : My Opinion about Agricultural practices

I partly agree with Paul. The purpose of agriculture is to supply food for people to live. However, agriculture is definitely connected to ecology. Crops interact with animals, especially insects, and they are helpful to each other. When we use agricultural practices, it has an effect on animals. At the same time, we have alternative pratices. For example, organic crops are popular and some agricultural practices involve the use of less harmful pesticides. We do not have to restrict the use agricultural practices. We can find alternatives and we have to promote companies that encourage less harmful farming practices. For this reason, I think we do not have to ban certain practices and we have to find alternatives and promote research to protect our environment.

In my opinion, any practice that harms the environment should not be continued. It is high time that we realize the damage we have caused to the environment. as humans our primary responsibility should be to take care of the earth that we alk on. Commercial agriculture has destoyed the soil, air, water, space to a great extent. Due to current agricultural practices, food is getting less nutritious every day. The nutrition provided by eating an orange 100 years ago is way higher than what it is now. Which means we need to eat more to get the same amount of nutrition. Also the soil fertility is going down day by day wich means soil is getting converted to sand i.e. organic matter is getting reduced. It is actually more profitable and feeds humanity better if we explore sustainable agricultural practices. This will help our future generations to have food or else there will be food crisis and wars caused by lack of food.
